V ytina; in a valley of the impressive Menalo Mountain you find the village of Vytina at a height of 1.033 metres. Vytina is famous for its local dairy products, honey, mountain herbs, woodwork and weaving. It is a good spot for summer and winter holidays both. In summer a quiet place in the mountains, the valleys and beautiful woods, in winter as a ski resort.
The place is well-known for its healthy climate. Until 1940 there were two sanatoriums. Vytina is the place of birth of Konstantinos Paparigopoulos and Vasiliou Ikonomidi. Their statues honour their contribution to knowledge and science. At 1.600 metres you find the Menalo ski resort with 4 ski- lifts and 6 tracks. The best months for skiing are February and March.
