V licho on the isle of Lefkada/ Lefkas is situated about 3 kilometres from Nidri. A beautiful village stuck in between the mountains and the sea. It is less touristy than Nidro and this results in somewhat lower prices. It is well-known for the smaller shipbuilding yards, of which there are only a few left in Greece.

The boats here are still built in the traditional way and their work is in great demand. Higher up in the mountains a splendid view of the Vlicho Bay with Nidri in the background. The sand beach Dessimi is situated near Vlicho.

This restaurant is owned by the fisherman Dimitris. He caught the largest fish of the whole Liguria region. The restaurant serves a wide choice of fish at very reasonable prices. There is also enough choice in white wine of a good quality with these dishes. A few meat dishes can be served as well, and there is much choice in first courses and desserts. The fisherman does not cook himself but takes every year his chef George in. Very interesting are the dishes that are presented in a splendid seashell, you can ask for it.

After the village of Vlicho you turn to the left and go to Desimi. After 2 kilometres you find this so quietly situated camp site. The camping ground is on a private beach and old olive trees offer shade. They have a restaurant, mini-market, washing machines. You can launch your boat with an electric winch and they sell petrol. Various opportunities for water sport.

The restaurant is on the opposite of the Vlicho Bay. By car you can drive round the bay to reach the restaurant. With a small boat you can moor here directly. Sailing boats anchor in the bay for the night. Restaurant with two own fishing boats. Varied menu card, kind service and meals prepared with care. Wonderful view of the bay and the lights of Vlicho.
