S  petses; the isle of Spetses is situated opposite Porto Cheli. A narrow pedestrian isle with about 3.600 inhabitants. The people here use a bike or a carriage with a horse. It is a green isle with many beaches which are mostly used for sea sports and other facilities. In the harbour they are still building wooden ships. It is therefore not any problem to order a boat here.

In September the isle celebrates "Armata", festivities to commemorate the naval battle of Spetses which took place on 8 September 1822. This celebration lasts one week. The museum of Laskarina Bouboulina is dedicated to this female Greek resistance fighter, who (unique) bore the title of admiral and was mother of 7 children. A reproduction of the painting can be bought from € 3,-
