M ethoni; in the 13th century Venetians built this tremendous fortress. The Turks fortified it with the Bourzdi-tower, and inside the fortress they built a minaret and a hamam, a Turkish bath. The fortress is a romantic piece of scenery for the beach.

As for Ecogriek, the inner garden is perhaps the most beautiful part of the somewhat ramshackle fortress. The Methoni bay with the island of Sapienza and the beaches are a great attraction in summer.

Restaurant Sapientza

Family restaurant near the beach of Methoni. You go before the campsite on the left into the little street and 50 metres further on you find the restaurant. About all the ingredients of the dishes come from their own land or from their own fishing. Greek dishes with a good reputation and wide choice. Opened throughout the day and you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner or just a drink.
