K  yparissia; the cypress town on the west coast. Kyparissia has a cosy quarter of the town under an old fortress, and a modern downtown with large squares. There is a railway station, cosy restaurants and many shops.

The beaches are very spacious and rough. 3 kilometres into the direction of Pyrgos are marvellous sand beaches and dunes; important for Ecogriek: this is the second most important area for nests of the turtle.
