K oroni; picturesque town, paved little streets lead upwards to the ruins of a Venetian fortress. In the old fort there is a nunnery; Ayios Ioannis o Prodromos. In the labyrinth of walls bougainvillea and oleander are flowering in abundance and bananas and medlars are ripening there. In the courtyard of the monastery you find texts such as: orthodoxy or death.
