I ria Iria, Pera Iria, Iria beach or Paralia Irion. Many names for a quiet village at the bottom of Mount Mavrovouni. A long beach with now and then pebble stones. Beautiful view of the mountains and the little isles of Platia and Psili. Psili is very small but 240 metres high indeed. Every year, in the beginning of May, the inhabitants of Iria and surroundings celebrate the feast of the artichoke.

Then there is a competition where people show who can prepare the best meal with artichokes. Other festivity days specifically for Iria are 21 May, 15 August and 25 September.

A quiet camp site at the Iria beach with swimming pool and a small supermarket. Organizes Greek nights. Much attention for safety; a camp site that is suitable for children; there is a playground. Excellent place for surfing. Camp site is well shaded with beautiful shrubs and other plantation. Open all year round.
