A  ssos; There are many beautiful beaches in the surroundings of Assos. The Mirtos beach, at 3,5 kilometres from Assos, is widely known: picture on the right; this is called the most beautiful beach of Greece and even of Europe. Every year in August they organize a concert on the Mirtos beach.

The Assos fortress was built in 1593. The building is being restored now. The village is still rather authentic; there are a few shops and some restaurants near the little fishing-harbour. The village is a pedestrian zone.

Family restaurant in which father Adonis is the manager. The fillet of pork with mushrooms in a spicy sauce is highly recommended. But the menu offers a far wider choice.
